Our Fees
​Prahran Market Clinic is a private billing clinic.
Telehealth appointments are billed in the same manner as in person appointments.

Fees are payable at the time of consultation by cash, Mastercard, Visa, or EFTPOS. HICAPS for private health insurance is available for some allied health consultations. Consults not paid for on the day of service will incur a $5.00 administration fee.

Bulk billing is not guaranteed and is available only at the doctor’s discretion. We are able to offer instant Medicare rebates for in person appointments/payments, you will need a debit card for this option. Over the phone payments, can be claimed automatically using Medicare online for automatic claiming if payment is made on the day.

We do our best to keep your costs down, however the costs of running a business (rent, supplies, wages, and insurance, amongst others) have gone up. The table below is our usual fee structure but remember, all our doctors are independent practitioners and fees may vary. Please check with your doctor at the start of your consult if you are unsure.

Where procedures are involved, there are additional costs, which your doctor will discuss with you at the time of consultation.

If you do not attend your appointment or cancel within four hours there may be a cancellation/nonattendance fee for your missed appointment.
​
Patients wishing to have visits charged to a third party must provide evidence of claim acceptance or a contact person who can verify the claim. i.e. TAC or Work Cover claim number, a letter from your employer, or contact details.
​
Patients who are referred to other providers such as x-ray or pathology are advised that additional fees may apply. Enquiries should be made with the relevant provider to establish what is covered under Medicare or private health insurance.

Allied Health Professional's Fees
The Allied health Professionals are independent contractors who lease rooms from Prahran Market clinic. Patients will need to discuss with their Allied Health Professional their individual fees.
